Map Abandoned Places California - California Urbex Map

California Urbex Map: 600+ Lost Places & Abandoned Buildings with GPS 🇺🇸

Far from Hollywood and the beaches, California hides one of the richest urbex scenes in the country. Our California urbex map 2026 lists more than 600 abandoned places, built from years of research, field explorations and reports from the urban exploration community. It's the ultimate guide for photographers and lovers of lost places.

From Los Angeles to San Francisco, via San Diego, Sacramento and the most remote areas of the Mojave Desert, the map lets you locate ghost towns, sanatoriums, military bases, motels, factories and many other forgotten buildings.

Among California's highlights: Gold Rush ghost towns, abandoned sanatoriums, desert motels and many hidden gems scattered from the coast to the Sierra Nevada.

The map also features exclusive VIP locations: rare abandoned buildings reserved for our members and not published anywhere else on the internet.

Our team regularly adds fresh urbex locations and updates the status of existing ones, which matters in a state where places get demolished or secured fast.
