The Château Pierre Chanal, a majestic lordly residence nestled in Brittany, bears witness to the elegance and grandeur of the 15th century. Its isolated location by the river offers an idyllic setting for this imposing L-shaped building. Unfortunately, part of the right wing has collapsed, showing the ravages of time on this architectural gem.
From the entrance, passed through large red doors, visitors are greeted by an enigmatic statue, part of whose legs seems to be missing, giving the place a unique atmosphere. The castle tour transports visitors into a dreamlike world, preserved from graffiti and modern alterations. The authentic charm of the place works its magic, especially thanks to its small chapel with bright colors and its magnificent decorated ceilings on the ground floor.
It has endured through the ages under the guidance of numerous owners who have expanded and embellished it many times. Fully renovated in the 19th century, it has managed to preserve its historical character, notably with its ornate door of the staircase turret, listed as a historic monument in 1934.
