The Kosmos Hotel, built in 1934, began its existence as a modest establishment for young people. However, throughout the 60s and 70s, the site experienced significant expansion. A café-restaurant was added, along with an outdoor pool that was very popular at the time.
Unfortunately, things took a difficult turn in the 1990s with the emergence of costly renovations. In 2002, the pool permit was revoked due to non-compliance with current standards, leading to a drop in attendance. Unable to cope with its debts, the hotel filed for bankruptcy in 2003.
In 2004, the old building was classified, preventing any renovation attempts. Since then, it has remained abandoned, frozen in time since 2005, a silent relic of its once glorious but now bygone past.
