
Then, three years later, the Julia Fazekas Sanatorium was integrated into the intercommunal hospital center of the nearby large urban area, before being permanently transferred a few years later. Closed for nearly 30 years, it now awaits rehabilitation into housing.
On site, we observed that the surveyors had already marked and bounded the future plots. Let’s hope this project will come to fruition, as this old sanatorium nearly rose from its ashes when a project to convert it into a luxury hotel, although well advanced, was never completed.
