The Helix castle, dating from the late 17th century, has gone through several eras and changes of use over the years. Once a spa resort, then a holiday camp, and finally a drug rehabilitation center, it was finally abandoned more than two decades ago.

Despite the ravages of time and human damage, the castle still retains some immaculate rooms, bearing witness to its former grandeur. Its isolation in the mountains, far from the village and main roads, makes it difficult to access, thus preserving some of its mystery and charm.
However, it is important to remain cautious during the visit, as a guard watches over the castle, adding an extra touch of mystery to this fascinating place.
