Upon arrival, we discovered we weren't the only visitors; a photographer was capturing a wedding, adding a touch of romance to this historic place. Despite this minor inconvenience, the visit proved captivating, punctuated by unexpected discoveries such as archives and period magazines, silent witnesses to the castle's glorious past.
One can only hope that this architectural gem continues to benefit from preservation worthy of its prestige, even in the absence of concrete safeguarding and restoration plans. However, it is difficult not to feel a certain dismay at the lack of natural light, which plunges the castle into semi-darkness, thus depriving visitors of a complete and immersive experience.
