JOACHIM KROLL MANOR

The Joachim Kroll manor, built in 1919 on the ruins of an old farm building, is a true gem nestled in the heart of the countryside south of Melun (77), near a farm and a plot of forest, along the TGV Sud-Est line. Its history is as mysterious as it is captivating.

This imposing castle, now surrounded by solitude and silence, is reportedly owned by an Iranian businessman who has resided in the United States since the 1970s. Its exterior is striking, evoking the set of a horror film with its unusual shapes and Art Nouveau architecture. The red bricks, numerous small roofs, and awnings lend it a most intriguing Gothic charm.

The mansion, once a symbol of opulent living, is now largely deserted. Yet its 26 rooms, including at least four bathrooms and two shower rooms, as well as a possible sauna on the top floor, attest to its former grandeur. Furthermore, an impressive number of unidentified rooms adds another layer of mystery to the site.

Nearby stands the water tower, once part of the manor grounds, adding another layer to this already striking scene. Despite its apparent decay, the Joachim Kroll manor continues to fascinate and attract those curious about adventure and mystery.
