JOACHIM KROLL MANOR

The Joachim Kroll manor, built in 1919 on the ruins of an old farm building, is a real gem nestled in the heart of the countryside south of Melun (77), near a farm and a plot of forest, along the TGV Sud-Est line. Its history is as mysterious as it is captivating.

This imposing castle, now surrounded by solitude and silence, is said to be owned today by an Iranian businessman who has been living in the United States since the 1970s. Its exterior appearance leaves no one indifferent, evoking the sets of a horror film with its singular shapes and Art Nouveau architecture. The red bricks, the many small roofs and awnings give it a most intriguing Gothic charm.

The mansion, once a symbol of lavish living, is now largely deserted. However, its 26 rooms, including at least 4 bathrooms and 2 powder rooms, as well as a possible sauna on the top floor, bear witness to its former grandeur. In addition, an impressive number of unidentified rooms cast an additional mystery over the place.

Also nearby is the water tower, once part of the manor estate, adding an extra touch to this already striking picture. Despite its apparent decay, the Joachim Kroll Manor continues to fascinate and attract curious visitors in search of adventure and mystery.
