VINET STATIONERY

The Vinet Paper Mill, established by royal decree on September 13, 1935, was located on the grounds of the Fonmourat mill, in the commune of Les Églises de Chamalles, in the Gironde department. Specializing in the manufacture of paper pulp and wallpaper, it has had a turbulent history. Burned down and then rebuilt in 1899, it was acquired in 1905 by André and Bernard Vinet, who had founded the Vinet Paper Mills in 1901.

Closed in 1969, the Vinet paper mill site now serves as a gigantic warehouse for old military vehicles, tires, and engines of all kinds. It's a place worth visiting, but be aware that it's still under surveillance and sometimes difficult to access.
