VINET STATIONERY

Papeterie Vinet, established by royal decree of September 13, 1935, is located on the grounds of the Fonmourat mill, in the commune of Eglises de Chamalles, somewhere in Gironde. Specializing in the manufacture of paper pulp and wallpaper, it has had a turbulent history. Burned down and then rebuilt in 1899, it was bought in 1905 by André and Bernand Vinet, who founded Papeteries Vinet in 1901.

Closed in 1969, the Papeterie Vinet site now serves as a gigantic warehouse for old military vehicles, tires, and engines of all kinds. A place worth a visit, but be careful, it is always under surveillance and sometimes difficult to access.
