Who said you had to travel the world to find abandoned water parks? In France, too, we have our share of urbex discoveries to make! Opened in the 90s, this French urbex spot was renamed Parc Avenue in 2008 in a desperate attempt to counteract debts – in vain. Abandoned since 2014, the park's colorful slides and distorting mirrors have quickly aroused the curiosity of urbex enthusiasts in France.
Following the devastating passage of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the rides and bumper cars at Six Flags New Orleans stopped operating… but the soul of the amusement park seems to still be present. Today in ruins, the site has been transformed into an unusual… and slightly creepy! urban exploration spot! Prepare to dive into the mysterious atmosphere of this abandoned park where each ride tells a story of desolation and nostalgia.
Originally intended for children, Ho Thuy Tien Water Park opened in 2004… before going bankrupt a few years later. Overlooked by a giant dragon, the former amusement park has given way to a ghost site where slides and a greenish lake coexist. If you look hard enough, you can even find old crocodile aquariums and a staircase shaped like a dragon’s ribcage. Welcome to Vietnam’s urbex paradise, where every corner holds stories that are both fascinating and enigmatic.
