Urbexeur - Urban exploration is a set of practices, whose motivations can be very different. The taste for adventure is one element. Some will be drawn to the historical aspect, the old and the abandoned. Many urbexeurs are interested in heritage issues and consider that urbex, under certain conditions, allows the preservation of the history and memory of sites. It happens that urban explorations allow abandoned documentary funds to be saved or reported .
For others, it will be the mastery of the modern city and its backstage. Photography and video are also an important motivation. Groups are often formed around one of these practices. In France more than elsewhere, the specialization of practitioners is very strong : some only go to the catacombs, others only do rooftops or metro tours.
